Assisting Abe

People and fur people who are Disciples of The Leader Otis,

It’s Thomas. Another kitty in need has found his way to the doorstep of The Cult of Otis, and the Guardians are answering his call for help. He is a gray kitty with definite tabby undertones, and the Guardians call him Abe.

Abe has asked for help, and the Guardians are answering him.

On the first day they fed him, Abe could not get enough to eat. He powered through two full cans of food before calming down. The Guardians don’t know yet if he is lost or abandoned, but he is definitely not receiving regular food and care from anyone else at the moment. He is shy, but does not appear to be feral, and the Guardians are confident they will be able to gain his trust.

I hope Abe does decide to trust them because the poor guy is struggling out there. And I know what that’s like. I’ve been there. Although the Guardians eventually had to live-trap me to sweep me up in The Capture, I have to admit life’s been pretty sweet since then.

Abe, I hope you will try to trust the Guardians. I had difficulty doing that myself, but look at me now!

So please keep your paws and fingers crossed, and send some purrs Abe’s way. The Brothers and I will be giving him all the moral support we can from our side of the window. Hopefully we can all ensure that Abe has a very happy New Year.

In Otis’s Name,

Thomas Out

  1. Abe, here’s hoping you find the trust for the guardians. They are such good humans!!

  2. Paws crossed for Abe. He found his way to the right place (and mom says he is very handsome).

  3. You’ll help to persuade him, Thomas. As you say, you’ve been there. And the Guardians are good at gaining trust. Of course, food is an excellent way to start. πŸ™‚

  4. We’re purring for Abe to come INDOORS! He sure looks like an intact tom with those big jowls.

  5. Chris, Monster, Buggy, Bunk and Calico (and a wiener dog)

We’re all purring for Abe as well. He’s very handsome!

  6. We are purring for Abe. We know the Guardians will do what they can to help him.

I know Abe will find a new home in the Cult. They join us, love us and eventually, leave us. Someone else comes along to fill the holes in our hearts. Take good care of him.

What a handsome guy! Hope he sticks around to receive help so he can escape the shadows.

  9. The Biz & The Bruce

Good luck Abe, you could be my Bruceski’s twin (although she is female). We are both sending positive trusting vibes your way!

  10. Chris

Oh my, look at the HANDSOME mancat! And that FACE! Love those jowls! He has a face made for face scritchies! Hope he sticks around!

  11. Dear Abe, we’re all rooting for you. Now, if Hitch and I could convince our Orange Brothers to let us help the Limbo and Shadow kitties in our own neighborhood. Sadly the sight of a kitty outdoors leads to misplaced aggression and untoward marking indoors. We have told the HuMom to keep her activities away from the windows but the outdoor kitties are not as co-operative. Perhaps we need to work on making the Oranges feel more secure?

    Happy New Year!

  12. We’re sending big purrs for Abe. He sounds like another castoff kitty who deserves the kind of care that your guardians can provide.

  13. Crossing paws, toes, fingers and eyes for sir Abe.

  14. Abe will be a member of the family before you know it. He is just checking the place out first as any smart cat would.

  15. Oh Abe is gorgeous & htere is THAT wistful look in his eyes….we will pray here for Abe to build trust enough to swept up in the capture & come Indoors to Kitty Valhalla for good….
    Wishing you all the best…
    Sherri-Ellen & Nylablue xoxo

  16. Poor Abe…it’s never ending the poor souls who find themselves in despair..wishing you success with this little guy πŸ™‚ hugs Fozziemum xx

  17. Paws crossed for Abe, we hope he trusts the guardians. We hope he has a family that misses him and he gets back to them! We hope he gets a home where he’s never outside again! But basically, we just hope for his safety.
Thomas, it warms my heart to see you getting some love from the guardians. You are just the cutest thing!

  18. Oh, Thomas, I hope that you can help Abe come in from the cold. Your Guardians are the best — they were on Mutts today:

  19. I am late to read so many posts. I hope Abe can be helped…it would be wonderful if he is lost and his guardians could be reunited with him. If not, then purrhaps you can eventually rehome him so he can love inside.
