Two More Posters This Week

Disciples of Otis,

Brother Oliver here. First, I need to acknowledge that I am sad about these posters for two reasons. The first reason is that they represent kitties that have gone missing. The second reason is that Leader Otis used to tell you about lost cat posters that the Guardians found. I am honored to continue the work that He started, but I am struggling with the weight of His absence.

That being said, two more kitties have gone missing. The first is a calico girl named Olivia. From the poster it seems that Olivia’s Guardians were trying to do the right thing and keep her safely confined, but she apparently escaped from their home. I used to be a door dasher myself, so I understand Olivia’s urge to bolt. I purr that Olivia is returned to her family safe and sound.

Olivia is lost. I purr that she is found safe and sound.

The second poster says that a kitty named Huey is missing. There are no details about how Huey might have disappeared, so I am assuming he was a Limbo kitty.

Huey is missing. I purr that he is somewhere safe.

I know Leader Otis always wished that each lost cat poster would be the last, and I wish the same. In His absence, I will continue to shine the light on these kitties lost in The Shadows.

In Otis’s Name,

Brother Oliver

  1. Thank you for sharing these. I know the Leader is proud of you for your strength in carrying on. All of you.

The Lost Poster Post’s have always made us sad. Who would have thought they could be even sadder. But we will use that feeling and continue to promote bring kitties in the Promise Land. We will make Leader Otis proud.

    • They’ve always made me sad too, Mistletoe and Hitch, and taking over this responsibility for Leader Otis definitely made me feel sadder. I do think He would be proud that all of us are continuing to spread His message though.

  3. You did a good job with a sad task, Brother Oliver. And it’s good (though also sad) to see the Leader’s last message on T-shirts and bumper stickers. Sad, but also good — the story of life.

    • Yes… these days are challenging, Rhiannon, but we are trying to bring people to the light in any way that we are able. We hope that, if the message is walking around out there in the world, people will be curious enough to seek its meaning, and to embrace The Good Word. We too have complicated, mixed feelings though with the pain of His absence still so acute. 😦

  4. These posters make us sad too, Brother Oliver. We purr that the kitties are found.

So sad that this job must still be done..but if it helps to educate guardians to the necessity of a safe indoor life for all the kitties then it must be done..

There is a similar story to Olivia’s door dashing ways at http://aboutthecats.blogspot.ca/ ..Tucker got out the door and was missing for 11 days! He was found and is home safe and sound! His Guardians did everything possible and searched everyday for him..it is so heartwarming to see the love they have for their fur kids!

I understand your sadness at this task…The Leader is proud of you!
