My Disciples,
Brother Henry’s ego (and possibly his tail) is still stinging a little bit from yesterday. You see, Mama Cat did eventually wake up and realized that Brother H was sitting right next to the on the Security Outpost Tabby Tower. Her reaction was, shall we say, less than cordial. Brother Henry retreated, and I found him later moping around the house. I told him that whenever I experience any sort of spiritual crisis, I spend some time with The Sacred Brick of Piety. Getting My pious on always helps Me to clear My head and put things in perspective. Brother Henry seemed skeptical, but when I went to My Outdoor Domain this morning, I found him looking all self-reflective with his head on The Sacred Brick.
I didn’t want to disrupt Brother Henry’s concentration but, being a cat, My curiosity got the best of Me. I said, “Brother Henry? Has The Sacred Brick of Piety helped?” Brother Henry replied, “Well… I’m not sure… but right now all I can think about is how stiff my neck is and how bad my head hurts from laying on this brick. I kind of forgot why I came out here in the first place.” I smiled at Brother Henry and said, “You’re welcome.”
So Sayeth Otis
Purrs to the Guardians for capturing this moment, and in such sunny, beautiful bokeh glory. Well done!
Thanks Christine! 🙂
good job Leader Otis….distraction works every time 🙂
Thanks Random Felines. It seems to have done the trick in this case. 🙂
Just be patient Henry, MC will come around in time. You’re too lovable not to be friends with 🙂
Brother Henry appreciates the optimism, Smash. 🙂
What a splendid photo of handsome Brother Henry! I’m sure it has the approval of Brother Oliver, the world’s best kitty photographer. And thank you, Leader Otis, for explaining the Sacred Brick. Pious items move in mysterious ways their wonders to perform.
Yes! Brother Oliver has been teaching his photography tricks to everyone else around here. Perhaps someday he will even share them with the rest of the congregation! 🙂
Poor Brother Henry. The HuMom said it’s a shame ladycats aren’t swayed by good looks and a thoughtful demeanor. Oh we’ll, back to the drawing board, Brother Henry. Maybe you should try ignoring Mama Cat? Have you tried that yet?
Purrs…..and a neck rub for Brother Henry

He definitely hasn’t tried ignoring her yet, M and H. Actually, she’s kind of hard to ignore. 🙂
Ah Brother Henry indeed it was foreshadowed that Mama cat would put the whap down! good that the brick rest has changed your thoughts to the physical unpleasantness of the moment and not the wack of the Mama cat 😉
Hugs Fozziemum xx
The Sacred Brick works every time, Fozziemum! 🙂
