Mama Cat’s Aerial Adventure- Part II

My Disciples,

When we left off yesterday, Mama Cat had walked to the edge of the roof and launched herself. I was horrified, but I couldn’t turn away. Mama hit the fence below her, front paws first.

Mama hit the fence front paws first.

Her front paws slipped as her momentum kept her moving forward. She ended up hanging over the top of the fence. For a moment I thought she was stuck in that position.

Mama’s feet slipped and she ended up hanging over the fence. I thought she might be stuck.

To My relief, Mama recovered and climbed over the top of the fence onto the fence post.

Mama recovered and stood on the fence post.

But how would Mama cover the remaining 6 feet to the ground? Without hesitation, she showed Me.

To cover the remaining 6 feet to the ground, Mama did this.

She landed like this.

Once on the ground, Mama went and sat on the grass in the yard. I think she felt pretty proud of herself.

Mama sat on the grass once she was back on the ground.

I should have known better than to doubt Mama’s cathletic prowess. She practically jumps 10 feet in the air when she is putting on her Catlympic demonstrations. Still, the roof is no place for a kitty, so I don’t think I was being irrational with My worry. I’m just glad she made it down safe and sound!

  8. Mama is quite the acrobat. Don’t go scaring Leader Otis like that, though, Mama. We can’t have him distracted from his inspirational responsibilities like that.
