My Disciples,
Since I informed you recently that Mama Cat’s family is going through a difficult time, I just wanted to update you today to let you know that Mama Cat is hanging in there. Her family has been busy building a ramp to the house to make it easier for one of Mama’s guardians to get in and out. Mama has been coming over to visit the Guardians of Otis during the construction. She gets snacks, pets and brushes, but her favorite thing is playing.
The Guardians offered Mama Cat the opportunity to practice her Catlympic skills with a simulated bird, but she wasn’t interested. She was more excited about playing with a huge feather.
Eventually Mama was throwing herself into playing with the flair that we’ve all come to know and love. She really is an amazing kitty.
The Guardians offered play time to Cookie as well, but she wasn’t interested. She did gladly accept a snack though.
So Mama Cat is doing well, as is Cookie, and the Guardians will continue to add some joy to their lives as often as they are able. I’ll also try to give you updates from time to time to let you know how these special kitties are doing.
So Sayeth Otis
Thank you for the update. We will keep Mama Cat and Cookie and their guardians in our thoughts and prayers.
Thanks Christine! 🙂
I will keep purring for Mama Cat and. Cookie. I luv Mama Cat’s joy in playing.
Thanks Savannah! Yes, Mama is a very joyful kitty when her needs are being met.
Mama Kat always looks so pretty and young. She has so much energy!
She does! And I know she is actually in her mid to late teens!
So nice to have a nice place to play while construction is going on – besides grass feels so good this time of year. Thanks for helping Mama and Cookie
We will always be there for kitties in need, Phil. 🙂
Isn’t it funny how animals seem to know that? Not so dumb
Not dumb at all. 🙂
Momma cat has some skills! So glad she and Cookie are doing well and that your guardian’s are giving her some extra attention! Hope the neighbors get through their rough patch here quickly.
Thanks Andrea. The neighbors seem to be hanging in there, as do Cookie and Mama Cat.
Thank you for the update. We are purring for Mama Cat, Cookie, and their Guardians. She looks so cute.
Thanks catsinwindows! 🙂
Saw a cat today that looked a little like Mama cat, or like Morris in the old commercials. He was up for adoption at a local shelter (housed inside a pet supply store). Another cat that looks like a small version of Brother Oliver comes with him. Lovely cats! Wish I could take them home, but Priestess Jen and Miss P wouldn’t have it.
A small version of Brother Oliver? Did he have a big opinion of himself like Brother Oliver? 🙂
Mama Cat *does* play with gusto! She looks really adorable in that last picture. It is most kind of Your Guardians to look out for her and make sure she has happiness in her days. I dunno though…You could find Yourself with Two More Junior Agents any day, Leader Otis 😉
Very tempting thought, Spitty, but two more cats would bring the Guardians of Otis into violation of My 10th Commandment. They would also be dangerously close to committing the 5th Deadly Sin.
Ah, Leader Otis, You are wise indeed. Perhaps that is why You are the Leader.
Our HuMom say that watching Mama Cat playing brings a smile to her face every time. We are cats so, as you know, we don’t really smile. We do feel like purring though. Mama Cat looks so happily ferocious, it makes a kitty want to crunch something.
Purrs,

Happily ferocious! I love that description M and H! It is perfect! 🙂
It’s really great that your Guardians are looking out for Mama Cat. She looks like she’s having lots of fun playing with that feather.
Thanks Island Cats. She really does love to play. She also loves the occasional snuggle. 😉
That third photo is our favourite xxx
Mine too, mythreemoggies. 🙂
BIG smile reading this!!! YAY for MAMA and her Guardians to have you all with such generous and loving hearts. http://rumpydog.com/2013/03/22/i-am-afraid/#comment-31291 – there was a recent congregating of cats that has Rumpydog concerned. I mentioned to him that may be you might be privy to some inside info “-)
I went and checked it out, Saymber. I told Rumpy that I knew why those cats were congregating, but I wasn’t at liberty to tell him why. 😉
