My Disciples,
I’m sorry to share the sadness yet again, but I’m even more sorry that there is still this kind of sadness to share. The Guardians have found more lost cat posters in the neighborhood, and as long as kitties are still being let outside in the world without walls, I feel I must show the potential result. The first missing kitty was named Thomas. I am very thankful that it is not our Thomas, although, as you may be aware, he did once appear on his own lost cat poster.
The Thomas on this current poster was a handsome, mostly white, long-haired kitty. The poster is over a year old, and it is difficult to read. The photo shows Thomas inside, so I don’t know if he was a Limbo kitty or a door dasher. Whatever the case, I purr that Thomas was found and is somewhere safe.
The second poster is for a beautiful tabby girl named Folsom. The photo shows Folsom sitting in a pot outside. I assume she was a Limbo kitty. There is some irony in the fact that she appears to be named after a place that has locked doors and fences to keep humans safely confined.
Again, sorry for the sadness today, My Disciples. Please help Me spread The Good Word about keeping kitties happy, healthy and safely confined. Perhaps together we can make these posters a far less common sight.
So Sayeth Otis
I read this with a heavy heart. The posters seem to be never-ending…
I know, Christine. It makes Me so sad. 😦
you scared me with that title.. but then I thought reasonable thoughts and said if “our” Thomas had escaped you wouldn’t use this sort of a title for a post about it..
No. If Thomas had escaped the title would have been “CAN’T BLOG! LOOKING FOR THOMAS!”
Tragic.
My cat Sammy is a “door dasher”. Whenever I am having work done on my house or have guests over, I guard my doors, place signs on the doors and basically drive everyone crazy because I’m constantly saying, “Shut the door behind you please” “Watch out! Don’t let Sammy out!”
Full Disclosure: Back in 2009, while I was on crutches, Sammy ran past me as I came through the door one evening. Unable to catch him (or chase after him), I called and called. Finally I gave up and went to bed. At 3:00 a.m. I was awoken (not sure by what). I decided to get up and check the door. Guess what? Sammy was there. Guess what else? Someone or something hacked off his tail!!!!!!!!!!! I had to rush him to the emergency vet (no easy feat when you’re on crutches). Thousands of dollars later, Sammy has a stub where his tail used to be. Since that fateful day I am an absolute maniac about keeping the doors closed!
Oh My gosh! Sammy lost his tail out there! That’s terrible! I’m so glad he made it back alive, but poor guy. I’m sorry both Sammy and you had to go through that!
Oh, purring them to safety. Even if the weather is mild here and calling to kitties – it’s just not safe.
Thanks Phil. They can use all the purrs they can get…
Oh how sad. Hard to click on like so came to comment thank you for posting this and hopefully helping someone else avoid a similar fate. Hope they find their kitties. Paulette
Thanks Paulette. I hope they find them too, and then always keep them safely confined.
