When we left off yesterday, Mama’s exhibition had gotten off to a shaky start, but she had finally scored a hit and seemed to have regained her composure. As her exhibition continued, she amazed us all with something we had never seen before.
After scoring the hit, Mama opened her paws and released the bird. She seemed to be brimming with new confidence.
The handler swung the bird down into the yard. Mama cat leaped from the wall and was on it in an instant, giving it a good mauling.
At this point, the unexpected happened. Mama released the bird and quickly wheeled around. Rearing up on her hind legs she shouted, “COLD FRAME CATAPULT!”, and then launched herself skyward.
After making a perfect landing on the narrow edge of the open cold frame window, Mama immediately launched herself again!
She flew across the gap, landing on the cement wall. Before I even knew what I was doing, I shouted out, “GO MAMA CAT!”
Clearly pleased by the crowd reaction, Mama Cat regrouped into a ready stance on the wall, and prepared for her big finish.
I really couldn’t believe what I had just seen, and I couldn’t wait to see how Mama Cat would wrap this performance up.
