Indoor Cat Vs. Outdoor Cat

My Disciples,

As you know, I feel very strongly that Me and My fellow domestic felines should never be allowed to wander free in the world without safe boundaries.  It’s hard for Me to admit, but we are a lot like children.  We may sometimes insist that we need to go outside into the wide open world, but our Guardians are supposed to say “no” and keep us out of harm’s way.  I know I have mentioned that there are some cats that it is fine to put outside, but these are very special cats.  What I haven’t mentioned before is that there are some other cats that should only be outside.  My feline brother Zeus had an encounter with one of these cats recently as you will see in the video below.

I am so happy to hear that Zeus’s Guardian knows the importance of keeping him safely indoors.  Can you imagine what would have happened to him if he didn’t have that pane of glass between him and his angry, much larger cousin?  I shudder to think.  The outcome likely would have been a full mountain lion and a few dozen “lost cat” posters around the neighborhood with Zeus’s photo on them.  And this video shows only one example of what might be waiting for us house cats if you let us walk out the door and wander in the world without walls.  Don’t do it.  NEVER do it.  Keep us house cats in the house, and leave the outdoors to our wild cousins that are supposed to live there.
