Kitty Sayings #3

My Disciples,

It’s time for another crunchy little bite of kitty wisdom.  Again, I believe there is a human counterpart to this kitty saying, but humans inevitably leave one crucial word out.  Kitty Saying # 3 is:

“There is more than one way to skin a cat abuser.“

Animal abuse is pure evil. Fortunately, there is more than one way to skin a cat abuser.

As you can tell by the serious look on My face in the photo above, animal abuse is no laughing matter.  In fact, it’s one of the Cult of Otis Nine Deadly Sins.  In all seriousness though, the Cult of Otis would never advocate violence.  Fortunately, there is more than one way to skin a cat abuser, including locking them up so they can’t continue to abuse.

The First Deadly Sin

My Disciples,

In past blog postings we have covered all of the Commandments of Otis, and we have read the stories and seen the true faces of all of the saints.  Now I think we should talk about the Nine Deadly Sins.  These nine sins, when perpetrated by humans, can cause great suffering for My feline brothers and sisters.

Today I bring you the first deadly sin.  Not only should you avoid committing this sin yourself, you should also work to stop others from committing it as well.  The first deadly sin is:

Abuse

Causing intentional physical or psychological pain to a cat, or to any living thing for that matter, is often a sign of severe emotional problems. If you feel like hurting another creature in an attempt to alleviate your own pain, perhaps you should consider making an appointment with a counselor or psychiatrist instead.

In December of '09, I thought for a second that the Guardians were abusing Me when they made Me wear this hat. Then I figured out that they were just taking photos for our Catsmas cards.

So please, don’t be an abuser.  Kitties suffer far too much already without adding intentional harm into the mix.
