My Disciples,
After informing Mama Cat that I would like her to give an exhibition of her Catlympic skills, I proceeded to yowl My head off until one of the Guardians came outside. Mama Cat had taken her mark on the cement wall nearby, and the Guardian immediately understood that this meant a bird handler was needed.

The Guardian ducked back inside, and when she returned she was carrying the simulated bird. It was time for the exhibition to begin. Unfortunately, things did not go smoothly at first. Here’s what happened:
As the handler started flying the bird overhead, Mama crouched down in a ready stance.
Mama was eager, but the handler was keeping the bird well above regulation height for the Bird Slayer competition. It was impossible for Mama to reach it.
Mama tried to compensate by getting ready to perform a big jump, but then the handler brought the bird in low and fast. Mama didn’t get turned around in time to attack it.
Now Mama was thrown off her game. When the bird passed close again, she opened her mouth but did not lunge at it. I shouted, “Concentrate Mama Cat! I believe in you!”
Mama took a deep breath and sat down to focus. She watched intently as the bird once again passed high over head.
Adopting a new strategy, Mama Cat shifted into a bipedal stance. Her entire body tracked the bird as it danced overhead.
As the bird came in high again, Mama extended upward, I thought there was no way she would be able to reach the bird at that altitude.
Boy was I wrong! Mama did a quick, twisting hop, and came down with the bird in her jaws.
Having finally scored a hit, I could see Mama Cat fill with confidence. I knew then that the rest of her performance would be something special.

I think maybe you need to bring in a new Bird Handler. Really, it isn’t right to throw an elite athlete all off-balance like that at this level of competition. It’s a wonder Mama Cat was able to recover as well as she did!
Yeah, you know how hard it can be to find a good bird handler these days. Sometimes it’s like they’re just phoning it in. Fortunately, the handler upped her game for the rest of Mama’s performance.
Mama Cat is quite pretty. Does she like younger men?
