My Disciples,
Now that the Guardians have improved our defensive capabilities by adding the Super Outpost Tabby Tower to the house, Brother Henry thought he should bring Junior Agent T up to speed on its use. I was resting on the couch when Brother Henry entered the living room and said, “Oh! There you are Junior Agent T. I need to run you through the basics of our new outpost, and… hey, what’s that all over your face? I expect you to keep a clean uniform, solider!” Brother Henry then proceeded to lick some errant wet food off of the side of Thomas’s face. Thomas complained a little bit, but let Brother Henry clean him up.
Next, Brother Henry led Thomas over to the Tabby Tower. He said, “All right Junior Agent T! Welcome to Super Outpost Tabby Tower. This is our last, best defense in the event of an invasion by the mongrel horde. If the Long-feared Dog Uprising comes to pass, and you find that you don’t have time to get to higher ground, you can always quickly duck inside this lower space on the tower. If you keep your back to the wall and your claws and teeth facing the attackers, you just might hold out long enough for a Senior Agent like me or Brother Oliver to come to your rescue.

Brother Henry told Thomas that he could make a stand under the tower while waiting for a Senior Agent to come to his rescue.
“All right…”, said Brother Henry, “… now let’s head up top to check out the other tower features.” Brother Henry climbed up to a higher platform and instructed Thomas to sit on a box behind him. Brother Henry said, “OK Junior Agent T, this is the middle observation deck. At this level we are high enough to be out of reach of most small and medium-sized dogs, but not so high that it will be dangerous to jump and make a run for it if we need to. You can also use that box that you are sitting on as a safe retreat in case of aerial bombardment. I have heard rumors that the LFDU has been working on an airborne force of pooper troopers called ‘The Parapoopers’. I’m not sure whether or not there is any truth to the rumor, but it’s always a good idea to prepare for the worst.

Brother Henry showed Thomas the middle observation deck, and told him to hide in the box in case of Parapooper attack.
As Brother Henry was going into detail about what a Parapooper attack might be like, Thomas took an interest in the platform in front of him. He said, “Senior Agent H, what’s this platform for?”
Brother Henry stood up and said, “This, my friend, is the forward security platform. You can see that the Super Outpost is equipped with three of these platforms, and they are designed to keep security agents safe while they are pinpointing the position of the enemy.

Brother Henry said that the platform was designed to keep agents safe while they were pinpointing enemy positions.
Thomas said, “Hmmmmm… It seems kind of wide open, won’t agents on the platform be vulnerable?” Brother Henry gave him a knowing smile and said, “Well… let’s just see about that, Junior Agent T!”

Tomorrow- Thomas’s Tabby Tower Training: Part II

Brother Henry looks so cute in that last picture!
I think Brother Henry is blushing now, but I can’t tell through the fur.
I have a kitty crush on Junior agent T!!
He is darling isn’t he? I thought his baby pictures looked like Tom Kitten in the Beatrix Potter books.
Hmmmmm… Tom Kitten… Thomas… I don’t think the Guardians consciously named him after Tom Kitten, but maybe there was some subconscious influence.
He is definitely a little charmer, 2 cats.
I just knew Junior Agent T would be a pawsome security agent to add to the detail responsible for keeping Leader O safe!
He may become truly great some day, Savannah, but he has a lot to learn! Plus he always seems to be talking about shadows and stuff and suddenly disappearing. I wonder what that’s about…
hmmmm…maybe you might read my Real Rescue Cats Are Talking Interview today…it is with Nellie, Cat From Hell. I suspect Thomas has many “shadows”…ie “memories”…which keep him worried about making new ones. I believe Nellie’s “Guardians” worked miracles with her. If ever Thomas comes into enough of his True Spirit to talk about his rescue as an adult cat, let me know. I believe I am furry experienced at allowing my interviewees to speak for themselves. Just a thought…paw pats Savvy peeEss…and maybe Leader O would do a double interview, him AND Thomas…again…just a thought
Wow! Savannah, Nellie’s story had Me sniffling up a storm. Poor kitty went through so much. I’m so glad she made it from hell to The Promised Land! Thomas is still in the middle of his journey, but making progress every day. I’m sure he will be anxious to share his story in the future, and I’d be happy to do a double interview with him.
AIIIEEEE!!!! Leader O and Thomas!!! Together???!!! You so would honor me!!! I am trying to have a collection of 12 cats, 12 dogs, all adult rescue stories by August 2013. Mom and I hope to self publish and give to shelters, rescue orgs as a give away to new Guardians to help them understand their adult rescue AND provide techniques for helping their rescue cat/dog show its REAL SELF (your True Spirit I think?) ANywho, it is our dream. If you will honor us, that would be totally pawsome, Savannah and Mom Linda
That sounds really great Savannah! I think with just a few more months of work, we should have more of Thomas’s story to tell. He’s showing more interest in joining play time, and generally hanging out near the Guardians in recent days. We’re hoping for the final breakthrough by summer.
PAWSOME!! and just an FYI…I just allowed Mom to pick me up yesterday..for about 3 minutes…I don’t bite, growl or scratch…I just get so tense and scared…but when Mom let me slide from her hands, I turned and invited her to follow me….and i let her softly stroke my tummy again…baby paws for me, and baby paws for Thomas…again…Pawsome!
Wow! Way to go Savannah!!!
oh thanks Leader O, we might give it a try again today…
Junior Agent T is SO handsome!
He is growing up to be quite a little heartbreaker!
I think Junior Agent T is about to get schooled by Senior Agent H! We can’t wait for tomorrow!
Purrs,
Mistletoe & Hitch
RWB
No one knows security like Senior Agent H!
Pooper attacks?? Oh my word that sounds awful! I hope the intell on that is wrong!
Junior Agent T is being a very good student!
May I say, and don’t tell him if it would embarrass him.. but Brother Henry has the cutest little man-kini! MOL What a sweet tummy!
MOL! Man-kini… I never thought about it before, but you’re right, Andrea! Oh, and we all hope the intel on the Parapoopers is wrong. We really do.
Awesome photos! I am jealous . . . sigh.
Thanks Batya. The Guardians say it helps that the subjects are so photogenic. I’m not sure what they mean since I wasn’t in the photos though.
I can hardly wait…. somehow though, I think Thomas can!
When the LFDU happens, You will find me safely under the bed, scrunched deeply in the corner next to the wall, inaccessible to all but the eensiest chihuahuas or teacup poodles, whom I can easily dispatch with one swipe of my Claws of Doom. The Bigger Woofies can have at the Human. She’s quite plump, so she should provide some good eatin’, long enough for me to escape unnoticed anyway.
That’s MY plan and I’m sticking to it.
Great plan, Spitty!
It’s good to see Thomas and Henry getting on so well
They are becoming BFFs (Best Feline Friends).
i resent mongrel horde!!
But you would never join The Horde, right Basil? Therefore, you would never be referred to as a mongrel.
Join? Never, leader is much more a title that suits me BOL
That’s good to know that you wouldn’t join… wait, what?
Don’t you worry your pretty little head about it! Look i’m sure that feather moved!
