Whisper Makes A Request

My Disciples,

Earlier today, I was awoken from a nap by the sound of loud scratching coming from outside. I tried to ignore it and go back to sleep, but it intensified to the point where I had to get up and investigate. I entered My Outdoor Domain to find Whisper clawing at one the posts. Since she has almost no voice, she sometimes does this when she wants Me to come outside. It’s a little annoying, but I must admit it’s also kind of endearing.

Whisper clawing at post

A weird scratching noise woke Me up from My nap. It was Whisper trying to get My attention.

When Whisper saw Me, she stopped clawing and came running up to the wall of My Outdoor Domain. She said excitedly, in her airy, almost inaudible voice, “Leader Otis! Do you think you can get your Guardians to put catnip out here on the sidewalk tomorrow morning?”

Whisper asking question

Whisper wanted to know if I could get the Guardians of Otis to put catnip out on the sidewalk in the morning.

I told Whisper that I thought I could get the Guardians to put the catnip out, and I started to ask her why she wanted it in the morning. Before I could get the meows out though, she said, “Thanks Leader Otis!” And then darted out of the yard and back down the alley toward her house. I was puzzled by her request, but apparently I will have to wait until tomorrow to find out why she was so excited.
